teen drug interventions - adolescent behavior problems
Welcome to Intervene Teen. Millions are affected by an addicted adolescent in their homes, schools or workplaces. Do you feel locked in a perpetual cycle of guilt, shame and hopelessness? Do you feel powerless to help a loved adolescent break free of addiction? If you feel you have tried everything to no avail and are looking for answers, an intervention could be the solution to your family’s problems. A teen intervention is a proven method that often moves the teenager to treatment.
Addicted teens and adolescents are trapped in their own destructive cycle, often receiving pressure from their peer group to continue the very behavior that threatens their lives, families, and freedom. Though thought by some to be “too young” to be chemically-dependent, substance abuse for many starts at this early age. For youth and ages 12-17 an estimated 1.1 million persons [4.9% of this population] needed substance abuse treatment in 2002. Breaking the cycle of addiction early in these adolescents is necessary to prevent a lifelong battle with substance abuse and the ensuing poverty and crime it can create.
