what is a teen intervention?
A teen Intervention is a proven method that works. It shifts families out of crisis and into solution and moves their loved one to teen drug treatment. As interventionists we create a safe and solid environment where this process can begin. The intervention process breaks through denial and motivates the one in crisis to seek treatment they so desperately need. this is achieved by having a highly trained and skilled interventionist who facilitates the process. The approach through intervention is one of love, respect and concern. A drug intervention is done in a delicate non-confrontational way.
how teen interventions work
We gather the history and then look at all of the data to see which treatment options are going to be the most clinically appropriate. the interventionist and the point person work together on constructing a solid team of family and friends to take part in the intervention. The interventionist will then facilitate a meeting with the team and do what is called a pre-intervention which then leads up to the intervention which is facilitated by the interventionist as well. |
